Several years ago, the late Jean Villette found enough information to build a credible Mt. Gretna 2'gauge American. He was in France!
I have been all up and down and all over the web. I have googled 'til I'm goggle eyed. Where is this data hiding? All I've uncovered, so far are a couple of really poor photos and a set of "plans", from Ebay, that were copied from an old magazine and lack even basic dimensions.
HELP, please.

The Narrow Gauge and Shortline Gazette ran a plan of the #12, 4-4-0, in the May/June 2002 issue.
There was also a book title the "Model Railroader Cyclopedia Vol 1, Steam Locomotives" editied by Linn Wescott which had a simple scale drawing of the engine in it.
Cheers,
Curtis F.

Thanks, again, Curtis. I'll bet the simplified drwg that I have came from the cyclopedia. It doesn't look like NG&SLG format...
hello all
i have been thing of building a model of the mt gretna ng 4-4-0 myself. it has an interest to me as i only like several miles from mt gretna. i have the model railroader cyclo vol 1 as well as two john t derr drawings i bought from coronado scale models. they are listed as baldwin class 8-14c. there is a photo and short text in fred westings book "locomotives that baldwin built". did you know that when they built them in 1889 it only took 8 working days to build one?! i think a 7 1/4" model would be nice, that would be approx 1/3 scale

jon, it works out to 3.75"=1" and will make a nice sized, though not huge, replica for 7.5" gauge.
Thanks for the additional data sources.
