I wish that I had something other than my crappy camera to show this:

That's right..a LIVE STEAM STAMP. It isn't a phony...came in today...cancelled...from guess where?
Now....what would it take to get OUR government to do something like that?
Perhaps we can get J-E to get a better picture up for the rest to see...

Bill,
Yesterday I saw a commercial on TV that you can now get personalized stamps from the post office with your own pictures on them, did not pay close enough attention to get the details of how to do it, the commercial was over before I realized what it was about.

No, you appear to be living in the workshop, based on the current rapid progress of your loco... http://bbs.livesteam.net//biggrin.gif
Finland was, AFAIK, the first country to offer personalized stamps, some 5 years ago or so. I ordered mine back in 2004 - the cost is double that of normal 1st class stamps, so it's really not bad. I only have a few left - but can order new ones any time I want (the minimum order is just 20 stamps)...
Here's part of the sheet, I still had the order image on my Mac:

J-E, is that you on that stamp? I cannot tell because it is too small on my monitor. Thanks. Vic
