Is anyone going to build the Newbie Project from the last two issues of Live Steam? I thought I would try it since I can afford to get the materials for it and have the tools for this project. In fact I believe I have most of the material already on hand for it. I would like to correspond with anyone doing the same.
Thanks,

Hi Regan,
Look over on the Chaski bbs. Unkajesse is over there alot. He's in TN so he's not too far from you. Might be worth a trip over there to visit.

Thanks guys, I try and catch up with him. I have started collecting materials and have my boiler shell and firebox shell already. I have some 1 1/2" scale wheel castings and a coupler already too. My shop is pretty well outfitted. Just need more time on the lathe and milling machine. I may start a web page to document building and steaming when it is done.
Thanks Regan

UKsteam,
Clover and I have talked on the "Collateral Steam" board about the other BBS's so I figured it would be ok. And, I've tried to "cross pollinate" by mentioning this board over in Chaski. I've noticed a couple other people from there over here, too.
