Very nice photos, Willy, but I sure wish you had put captions on each of them explaining to a newbie as to exactly what was going on.

lol talk to Wren About his web hosting. Grin

What is going on is.....

Our original steaming pit only allowed 2 engines for steam up. The new pit will allow for 4 engines. Plus there will be crossovers behind the each steaming bays for train storage. At present we only have one 30' spur (near the campground) for parking. When finnished we will have 120' for parking. Future plans may include a larger switch yard between John and Wrens house.

This picture shows the two bays added (the channels in the concrete).

Yours truly is the one with the shovel. Just above the tip of the shovel you can see a pin in the ground. This is for one of the track center lines.

Ears:

Even without the captions, even I can figure out that the guy with the shovel is not burying a cat....

Looks good...shame it is so far 'down east for many of us to get to...to say nothing of sort of being the wrong gauge for that part of the country (just kidding...not starting a scale war)..

This is what the steaming bay looked like before the addition.

Please note the crumbling walls. Mind you this picture was back in 2000.
