Does anyone have or know where I can get plans for a six wheel "SD" type locomotive truck and plans for an SD-40 locomotive? I would also be interested in any other plans for an EMD SD type engine.

You might try contacting Lee Wright of Normal Ill. Don't know if he has an email address. He built a SD40-2 in 1.55 scale, and has had pictures in Live Steam back in the 80's. His truck is the basis for MDM's SD HTC truck. You might contact them, also. If you are going to build a SD40, you can get plans for the Flexicoil trucks from Railroad Supply, as well as a complete set of plans for their SD35. The bodies are very simular and it will give you a starting point. Hope this helps.
